Technical Visit Tuesday September 22 (afternoon) |

| The technical visit will be performed Tuesday afternoon. Participants are requested to leave at the end of the morning (12-12:15 at the latest) to reach Ferrara areas where most of the apple and pear orchards and nurseries are located. In details there will be opportunity for the participants to visit a modern orchards in the Medelana village (Fig.1) and a nursery in the Mezzano valley (fig.2). |

| The tour will end at the CIV (Consorzio italiano Vivaisti) a Consortium formed by 3 important nursery located in Ferrara area (Salvi vivai, Vivai Mazzoni, Tagliani Vivai) where mother plant collection, laboratories and other facilities are present. |

| The visit will also offer the opportunity to visit the Pomposa Abbey | |
The return to Bologna is forecasted around 20:00- 20:30. |
